NDDs BOOT CAMP V - ONE COMMUNITY~REACHING OUT~GIVING BACK
SUGGESTED PACKING
LISTAir mattress You can push the beds together and put the air mattress on top.(King or queen sized for couples otherwise a twin) Aerobed is the best but pricey. Coleman makes a decent one. Don't forget the pump for the air mattress (Electric works best, battery powered beats no pump at all)
Mattress pad, because regardless of whether you use an air mattress or sleep on the plastic covered mattresses, that extra layer of fabric makes a huge difference in comfort.
Toy bag (Well duh!) (And for those who mentioned it...for me that includes a fireplay kit!)
Condoms and lube (Well duh again!!)
A coffee pot and fixings (Yes that includes a mug, make that a travel mug with a lid. A taxi ride with an open cup of coffee can be very interesting)
Money (Optional as everything is there for you...but there is the camp store)
Fetish wear to include something special for the dress up night (Of course that is optional, as is dressing at all...except for in the mess hall)
At least one blanket (It can get chilly at night) don't forget the sheets and pillows (Unless you registered to get them from camp)
A coat or jacket
A raft or float for the pool.
A flashlight
(I don't think batteries will be much of a problem to find)
Some snacks if you have some favorites...just watch out for critters.
A rug for beside the bed (Cold floors in the morning)
Sleep mask
Soda is provided, if you want more than that bring it
If you smoke bring at least a carton more than you think you would smoke (I promise you that if you bring what you
normally smoke you WILL run out!)
Personal protection armament (Squirt gun, the bigger and more powerful the better) Just remember, unarmed folks are NOT legit
targets unless you KNOW otherwise.
Radio
Alarm Clock (If you must!)
Shower shoes
Robe
Sandals for walking to the pool and around
camp
Sneakers for daytime use (Yes you can bring your 8-inch heels, but you probably wont wear them much!)

Towels, both for bathing/showering and for poolside use
Large blanket or sheet, for lying out by the pool (Or getting laid out by the pool)

Pool chair if desired...but there are loungers there.
Aspirin or the equivalent

A cooler...ice is USUALLY available for purchase at the camp.
Sunscreen (Again, we can hope!)
Sunglasses
If you wear glasses bring an extra pair if you have one
If you are on any prescription medication make sure you have at least 1 days worth more than you'll need (You never know, you might drop a pill down the drain)
Also if you are on any prescription medication that require refrigeration, please let one of the staff know in advance so they can try to arrange a place for you to store them
Maybe some Lysol or other air freshener
Toiletries and hygiene products
Mosquito nets (Overkill I know...but some have brought them)
Bug repellent, like Off or Skin So Soft
Bee spray (Esp if you are allergic)
Citronella candles, or citronella incense coils
A very handy, multi use fly swatter
Feminine hygiene supplies, just in case

Liquid Band-Aid for blisters & scrapes
Earplugs
Bottled water

Shower Mat
Suction cup wall hooks (Helps in the shower)
A shower caddy to tote those toiletries to and from the bathroom. There are cubbies in some of the bathrooms but finding a place to put that shampoo bottle can get tricky.
An extra rack to hang clothing. Each cabin has a clothing rod but again never hurts to have more room. Definitely hangers with or without the clothing rod.
Drain plug - the bathroom drains don't all have plugs and if you wear contacts you don't want them down the drain.
Bedside table. You get a bookcase - some small some large that can be placed where you want it and maybe that can work.
Nightlight for the bathroom.
Ziploc bags. Great for packing up that wet washcloth, soap and what have you when going home and you don't want all that icky stuff getting into other things.
Electric blanket

Trash bags. There are large trash containers outside most cabins and small trash cans inside but the inside isn't lined. Another trash can won't hurt either - one in the bathroom and one in the cabin proper.
Laundry bag.

oscillating floor fan and/or electric heater depending on weather reports
Cell phone charger (If you brought you cell phone of course)
Charger for iPod or other MP3 player (Again only if you brought the player)

Rain gear to include boots
Power strips &/or extension cords, and toss in a couple of 2 prong adapters too
A light jacket (We are after all at the mercy of the elements and mother nature)

Drums or any other instrument if you play (Very popular by the fire)
There is wireless Internet available so if you must bring your laptop (Just don't be offended if someone says you're too addicted to the computer)
Two lengths of pipe insulation and duct tape. Cut the pipe insulation down one side and tape it to the top and side of the door. It reduces the SLAM factor
If you are a nudist (Or plan to spend most of your time nude) a small bag or waist pouch to carry such necessities such as, condoms, lube, meds, etc.
Here is something we've done for the past few years that worked fantastically. Buy one of those multi-drawer cabinets (Plastic). They aren't very expensive, you can pack a good portion of your clothes in there and you can use it as a nightstand at camp.
Good rule of thumb...if you think you might need it and have room for it, bring it. If you don't think you will need it but you have room for it, bring it!
More suggestions are of course welcomed.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ok, now for the hard part.

  • Step 1 Grab 5 different colored highliters
  • Step 2 Print the entire list.
  • Step 3 Categorize. Say you have Yellow, green, blue, red, and
orange highliters. Rate these colors from most important to least important.
Your drop dead MUST have items get highlited in yellow. These are the things you absolutely
cannot go without...mostly clothing sheets and blankets, toys and meds you cant do without.
You would think you would do category 2 next...nope, do category 5. Why? Because
its easiest to know which are the things you need the most and which are the things you
can do without. Eliminate them from your pile and it makes things easier.
Your list of things that are nice to have but you would use the least get highlited in
orange, squirt gun, pool raft...stuff that you wont miss if you don't have it with you.
Now here is where it gets dicer. You will still have a long list left...use your best judgement
and highflier what is left into category 2, 3 & 4.
All done? Not quite...now you have to pack. Pack category 1 items first, then category
2 and so on and so on until you have either exhausted your list completely (In which
case you climb into your 18 wheeler and drive to camp) or you run out of space.
Packing done!
